(a) Processors
Half adders are often used in processors to try and calculate addresses, table indices and similar operations. Due to the fact that the half adder can operate on binary numbers, they are widely only mainly used as numerical representation. The carry part of the output is often underused as it is mainly implicated for the use of the sum output.
